UT Outpost - Fuel the Forty
Fuel the Forty aims to ensure that the basic needs of students are met while they are on campus. This program will provide students with access to nutritious meals at campus dining locations and enhance the overall well-being of the university community.
Food Support Fund
UT Outpost has created a Food Support Fund that will be used to issue a temporary meal card to students facing food insecurity. These temporary meal cards will give students without a meal plan access to University Housing and Dining all-you-care-to-eat dining locations.
The Food Support Fund is entirely donation based. Please consider donating via the link below or via QR codes posted around campus and at all dining locations.
Dine In Dollars Donation Drive
Students may donate unused Dine In Dollars to support the Food Support Fund.
Students with Residence Hall Unlimited or Longhorn Unlimited meal plans are eligible to donate unused Dine In Dollars at the end of each semester. Funds will go towards temporary meal cards to support students facing food insecurity.
Certain restrictions apply.
Donate Dine In DollarsTemporary Meal Card
Meal cards will each have the equivalent of 5 meal swipes for all-you-care-to-eat dining locations on campus (J2 and Kins Dining), at cost. This program does not replace a meal plan, but rather, serves as a short-term solution while they seek out further resources. Cards will expire at the end of each term. Students can request 1 meal card per term, on a rolling basis. Any additional requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Students are eligible to receive a meal card if they meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled UT student: summer is still an option if they are enrolled in the Fall.
- Student does not have an existing meal plan
- Student demonstrates experiencing food insecurity using the USDA Six item food insecurity scale
